Urban FT: Marketing, Branding + Positioning

Urban FT, a growth-stage FinTech start-up, needed help identifying their mission, creating an identity, defining their products and translating their tech language into terms everyday bankers could understand.

Urban FT, a growth-stage FinTech start-up, needed a hand identifying their mission, creating an identity, defining their products and translating their tech language into terms everyday bankers could understand.

  • Led total rebrand, including logo, color pallet, mission, vision and branded materials such as decks, stationary, business cards and new office design.

  • Built department from scratch, making hires in design, PR and writing.

  • Revamped their current, reactive marketing and create a proactive long-term strategy, goals, and OKRs.

  • Took an active role in copywriting for marketing and sales materials, product decks, PR and articles

  • Traveled to conferences to manage exhibition booths, do market research, network and make sales.


Positioning

As physical footprints become more irrelevant, Urban FT has found an opportunity in disrupting the banking industry for the underdogs, supplying small-to-medium financial institutions with a wrench to throw into the gears of industry titans. As the world’s most capable Core FinTech Provider, they believe technology is tool for empowerment, used to challenge the status quo, tackle real-life problems, and build tomorrow’s infrastructure today.


Product Names + Definitions

For each product we created an individual deck which deep dives into details, benefits, road maps and pricing, as well as one-pagers and brochures. As the Marketing Director I initially wrote copy, and then oversaw a writer and designer.


Rebranding

I led a full company rebrand where I directed a designer on Logo, Website, Color Palette and Marketing Materials.
